TikTok stars Dawson Day and Zoe LaVerne have had a busy year. Zoe, who the internet has labeled a “controversial influencer,” gained her following after sharing content featuring her and ex-boyfriend Cody Orlove. The 19-year-old moved on to a new romance with Dawson after she and her ex broke up.
The couple got engaged after dating for less than a year and are preparing to become first-time parents.
Dawson and Zoe are expecting their first child and are busy planning their wedding and YouTube careers, but they found time to talk to Distractify about their love and their goals for the future.
When did Zoe and Dawson start dating?
According to Dawson’s report he and Zoe first connected in 2018 through common acquaintances. These two went on their first short-lived date in the beginning of 2019; they both hail from cities within a half-drive hour’s of each other.
They split up after Zoe decided to pursue her acting career in Los Angeles.
Dawson claims that he and Zoe worked on their friendship after she returned to Indiana in May of 2020. They started dating that October and were officially a couple by November.
The two of us moved in together towards the end of 2020, and it’s been wonderful ever since,” Dawson reports. “The two of us have come a long way in the past two years. We’ve only been dating for about two months, but we’re already really happy about the news that she’s expecting.”
Dawson attributes his decision to pop the question to the improvement both of them have made in themselves since they started dating.
Dawson reportedly proposed at the gender reveal party, and Zoe accepted, as seen on both of their Instagram profiles. Even though Zoe and Dawson are waiting to start wedding preparations until after the birth of their child so that she can be a part of the ceremony as well, they still have many happy events on the horizon.

Even though Zoe still has a few months to go before giving birth, she and Dawson reportedly have a name chosen for their daughter.
Emersyn Raylee Day, Dawson claims he and Zoe have settled on as their daughter’s name. The first name has already been announced to fans, and Dawson has revealed that her middle name will be a tribute to both of their mothers.
“Raylee” was the idea of his younger sister, who is twelve years old. “Lee is my mom’s middle name, while Rae is Zoe’s mom’s middle name. Because of this, we merged the two.”
Dawson says he’s been polling his Teen Mom friends for advice on parenting in advance of his daughter’s arrival, and he and his wife have also been viewing a lot of family-oriented YouTube channels (The LaBrant Fam is their fave).
We are told that Zoe is so terrified of giving birth that she has watched numerous online movies on the subject. They’re thrilled to become parents but can’t wait to meet their daughter finally.
Dawson said he and Zoe plan to document their early parenthood adventures on their own YouTube channel.
As a result of the drama of the past year, though, they’ve been struggling to keep their heads above water. Dawson claims that their daughter already has anti-Dawson social media profiles and that there are allegations that the baby is not his (which he says are completely false). He and Zoe are doing their best to tune out the naysayers so they can concentrate on raising their children well.
“It’s important to me to generally take the high road. How I react to other people is something I’ve been practicing for the past year “This is what Dawson argues. “Simply put, I have to remind myself to think about where the information came from. Why should I let what strangers say bother me if they are talking about me in that way when they don’t even know me?”
